When planting balled and burlapped flowering trees, we suggest removing the burlap when planting, dig your hole at least two feet wider than the root ball. Dig the hole deep enough to set the flowering tree at the same level by the visible soil line on the trunk. Before inserting the flowering tree break up the soil on the sides of the hole where the roots can penetrate into the surrounding soil. Insert your flowering tree fill your hole with water and allow water to stand and drain before filling the hole with soil. Do not allow your newly planted flowering trees to dry out, Water should be applied periodically to thoroughly wet the soil. Avoid standing water, do not let plants dry out, but do not overwater.
